The monthly Step Study zoom meetings are an informal attempt at familiarisation with the 12 Steps of FA and are not intended to replace your personal Step Work that you woul...

FA helpline at Christmas and New Year - open as usual

Hello forum users

The FA helpline hours have not changed for Christmas and new Year.

The helpline is manned every single day of the year between 1-4pm and 6-9pm.

The number is 0207 498 4680.

If you call between 1-4pm or 6-9pm an FA member will be there.

Wishing everyone peace and serenity

Hi 2splendourangel There is someone wanting to start a face-to-face (F2F) meeting in Aylesbury but I think that may be a trek from Windsor. How about Guildford? There is also someone looking to start a group in Woking, if that is nearer I can put you in touch. Meanwhile I suggest you call the helpli...

Re: CORNWALL Redruth -New Meeting

No meetings in Plymouth at the moment, Barnstaple and Exeter would be your nearest. But if you've got the internet and a computer / laptop / phone you can join an online meeting anywhere. There is at least one meeting every day - see the other topic 'Where to Find a Meeting in UK' for a complete lis...

Re: Meetings in SW London ??

Hello

If there are no FA meetings near you, you can try nar-anon or al-anon or co-anon.
They are all groups that offer support to those affected by another's drug use.

Joining an online FA meeting during the lockdown

While face to face meetings are suspended, most groups are holding online meetings using skype or Zoom. This is an excellent opportunity for forum users who can't physically travel to a meeting, to join in an online meeting and share with others going through the same thing. There is a list of meeti...

Re: Video meetings instead of face to face

Hello Danito
I suggest that any shares or questions FA related can be posted on the Discussion forum. That is where most users will go to initially, and the biggest number of users will see it. I hope that helps.
Thank You.
Kind Regards

Re: Video meetings instead of face to face

Hi I'm sorry, but I don't have that information. I would suggest ringing the FA Helpline between 1-4 or 6-9 pm any day to find your nearest FA meeting. Many meetings have now gone online since the coronavirus disruption so connecting with one that is nearest to you would seem the best course of acti...

Video meetings instead of face to face

One of our groups is using 'Zoom' a video conferencing tool in place of their normal face to face meeting. You need to download Zoom that is free. This is a link to a U Tube video that explains how to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJq_OM5VcDY If you need any help, the group can offer help with set...
